Default 81 vette, new purchase

Well the seller and I just came to an agreement on the price. $4900.
The Charcoal metalic 81 will be mine as soon as he straightens out the title at DMV. He's had the car since 2000 and apparently never transfered the ownership into his name. He still had the title from his purchase. Not a problem though, except for the stand-in-line time at the DMV.
The car is a bit of a fixer-upper, not too bad though. Its numbers matching and has 79K miles. There is some cracks on the front end where some shoddy repairs have resurfaced. Metal parts apear to be reletivly rust free (normal light surface rust) New brakes a front calipers too.
The motor runs well but some of the emisions stuff has be disconected and/or is missing. No fan shroud (?) AC equipment is present but not working. Interior is Silver/Gray leather that has a bit of were and a hole in the passenger seat. The rest of the interior shows normal wear and should be fine for a daily driver. 16" custom chrome 5 spoke wheels with fair rubber. Not familiar with the make of the rims.
I'll get some pics in the next few days and post them to my web page.
:steering:
An odd thing is that there are L-82 emblems on the car. I didn't thing there was option for that in 81. :skep:

It wasn't, only 1 engine for model year 1981 and it was the L-81. Get yourself a fan shroud though.

I have a fan shroud, auxillary exlectic fan, and clutch fan for sale. If you want any of it let me know. All work. The top right bolt hole for the shroud does have a rip in it. I can send you pics if you are interested.

congrats! i just went through the same problem with my 86. the guy i bought it off of didn't transfer it into his name, and since i bought it out of state, i had to pay taxes on the book value of $9200  instead of the real selling price. long story, but i wasn't too happy. the car makes up for it tho :seeya
