door lock ****'76
I just replaced both door panels with corvette america pieces. They look great
and i didn't really have a problem with the install but i cannot get the driver's
side lock **** on the shaft that pertrudes through the panel. The pass. side went
on with little effort but not the driver's. It seems like there isn't enought of the
shaft sticking out to attach the **** to but it's hard to tell as you can't get a clear
view as the **** is placed in position. Could the **** be stripped? It seems to take a bit of a hold but then falls off. Any experiences, observations or help would

Check to make sure the clip is still in place in the ****. Check to see if the shaft is stripped or rounded off too. Maybe drip some lock-tite around the shaft then install?
