I have stock heads and intake manifold off of my numbers matching block in my 79, which I want to sell. Two reasons why I can think not to sell the heads are because it is numbers matching(I have no plans of ever selling this car though), and I think the heads could use some rebuilding. I also want to sell the stock exhaust manifolds. What would be a fair price for them? As always thanks for the help.
You can get an estimate for your prices by just looking at vendor catalogs. As a private party, your prices will have to be somewhat less in order to entice buyers. Your market is also much smaller than a national vendor.
I would not sell the items myself. They won't bring that much money, and will be far more valuable if you ever sell the car, as the new owner may find the numbers matching aspect very important.
I'm in the process of doing the same thing you did. Let's face it, the value of those parts is Zero. Who would want a set of small valve 76cc heads? Intake is the same thing. I'll probably keep the parts until I get sick of stubbing my toe on them in the garage. Then it'll be off to the boneyard with them.
The key thing with the numbers match game is the fact that you have the original block. Plus, on a C3 the numbers thing doesn't have the same charisma or value as a C! or C2
