Struts for Collector's Edition Needed.

Struts for Collector's Edition Needed.
I have a 78 pace car that I put the Cars & Concepts pop up rear glass on. I bought the kit new but it's 25 years old and the struts are real weak. Does anybody know where I can get a new pair of them? I have tried the usual places with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help.

Usually you can find generic ones at most auto parts stores. I'm sure you could find something that would work for much less $$$.

If you want to go cheap, take one of your struts off, take it into a local auto parts store, Pep Boys or some where like that, and ask them to find the closest match to it.
I've seen one other CE with the cheapy struts. and the only difference was the glass didn't open up as far.

I replaced mine on my 82 CE with exact replacements i purchased from Davies corvette here in Florida. only $89. These guys are top notch! http://corvetteparts.com/
