My husband Tim (he goes by Mike Mercury) has been on my case the last couple of weeks for not posting a "Thank-You" in the C3 section for all your help.
After sharing 4 of Tim's last Corvettes, I decided that I should have one of my very own. And of course it had to be a C3; which is my favorite Corvette body style. I love the chrome rear bumpers and Stingray badging. Unfortunately, the badging is missing from mine. We have purchased a set and plan on adding them to the fenders!
We looked for awhile and found a White 1973 with 59,000 miles. It hadn't been driven in the past few years so it needed a bit of TLC. It is so cool that Tim could get information from the Corvette Forum on how to bring this car back to life. It has only been a month since I bought it, it has come a long way thanks to Tim and CF.
This weekend Tim and I are replacing the interior carpeting and installing a modern car stereo. I've also purchased new door sill plates and some trim pieces. We have been having a great time working on my car together.
I really am enjoying the car and appreciate all the tips and ideas that Tim has received from you forum members. I'll try to make a habit of checking back to CF from time to time.
Congrats  Nice car. It's great that you and your husband have a love of corvettes in common. I know I call my wife "my not so silent partner" when it comes to the corvette. She's into it as much as I am, which makes ownership that much more fun.
Best of luck with your new ride.
Welcome, you have a nice looking 73. I want to change my stereo too, but I need to open the pool this weekend. Maybe I look for one this week. The sun has finally decided to shine on Ohio this weekend.
