Anybody using a fogger set up. I just put one one my motor and was told that a fogger doesn't hit as hard as a plate. I built my motor for spray and it will handle a 300hp shot, I know because I had a plate set up for it. I went to the fogger because of the look. I still might use plate with a 75shot for my launch and hit the fogger when I shift to 2nd. Ive never come out of the hole on spray, I guess I'm just not sure if the rear will hold up. Time will tell
300 horse is alot of nitrous. YOu need a dedicated fuel system, colder plugs, retarted ignition and not very practical for the street. Also with the fogger system you have all those lines plus 16 jets to change. The plate system at least has minimum lines and only 2 jets. How hard it hits depends on the length of the feed lines from the solenoid to the jet.
I have run two plates with 100 horse for getting out of the hole and another 150 for a second stag but seldom ever used the second stage.
The first stage was controlled by throttle position and the second stage was brought in with the horn button.

Re: NOS fogger (vincevette)
I am running a Sportman Fogger on my 454. I run a pretty conservitive tune .019 fuel .022 NOS and 7 lbs flowing fuel pressure. This tune up took my motor from 491 rwhp to 625 rwhp. I am still playing with the NOS and have not yet run the car at the track on it. I plan on adding a plate system and doing what you are thinking of doing, launching on the motor or a small shot and then hitting another system on the next gear up. I would like to make a total of 200 additional rwhp with both systems activated.
Norval is right about the "hardness" of the hit having more to do with the length of the NOS lines, also purging the NOS lines before the launch helps also. If you check out http://www.gofastzone.com they have a pretty complete NOS map jet size and fuel pressure set up that you will find pretty usefull to get some base line tune ups.
