Sunvisors on 78

Sunvisors on 78
Can anyone suggest how to fix sunvisors on a 1978 SA low mileage(11,000 miles & never restored) so they will rotate without damage? Mine are stuck. Afraid to force them.

You might try a little WD40 or similar light lubricant, don't "spray" the stuff on but spray the WD40 into a glass and use a drop or two of the condensation to lub the stalk. The visor may be tougher than you think, as sometimes they are difficult to remove. I copied a link from a prior visor discussion in the archives below. I don't think the photos in the thread are still available as I get little red Xs. However, the narrative might assist you in removing the visors.

Thanks for the reply. I had thought about using WD 40 but wondered if it would work. I'll give it a try. I had read in NCRS judging that they do not even turn the visors down in low mileage cars because of this problem but when driving it the visor use sure would help with the sun. :) :thumbs:
