Distributer Recurve kit?
I have seen this mentioned a number of times on other posts...
What is it? Can it be easily installed on my 78? Would it make a difference in performance to a stock L82 with a modified Q-jet?

I'm not going to try to explain how it works but it takes about 10 minutes to install. Everything is located under the (HEI) distributor cap. couple of weights and two springs. you can get a kit for under $10 or Lars can hook you up as well. You've gotta re-time the engine at full advance to get everything correct. I looked at it as a final tuning detail after mods.

I have pics of how to do this, if your car is HEI. Even if it's not, the process is not much different. It's a great mod, very easy to do, and inexpensive to boot.
An advance timing light helps, if your balancer does not have marks on it.
