Default 72 back bumper assembly

Does anyone have/could take a picture(s) of the area underneath the tank where the bumper is bolted up (left, right and center pics of the whole area would be awesome)? Bubba must have attached mine.... Thanks!

That would be great - I have some big brackets back there that are not attached to anything!

If you have a 72 assembly manual or have access to one there is a great diagram on page M287. It shows an exploded view of the whole rear bumper assembly in detail.

If it ever stops raining, I can take pics of mine, but I fear that Bubba might have been under my car a time or two as well (I have a few unmatching shiney nuts and bolts back there )

Hi all -
I took a look at the assembly manual and it doesn't help explain what I'm looking at very well - anyone take some pics? Thanks,

Thanks to LAvetteman for emailing me this pic:

I think I've seen the support rod for sale from a vendor. Anyone know where to find the other bracket? I can probably make one if needed.

I just saw a whole set of driver's side brackets (NOS) on ebay. I think the
inner and outer brackets are discontinued - but the rod is available.
Do some ebay searching - you'll find 'em.

Don't forget about that other bracket further outward thats in the other pic I sent.

I would say you could fabricate those two piece brackets, all they are are bended flat bar.

Here is the headlight I installed last night - it was an unreal experience. All the screws actually came free and when I dropped them they all fell to the garage floor instead of being lost forever :jester :

Check with the supplier below. On page two they offer one of the braces you're interested in.
