Default 69 3x2 initial carb settings

I am completing a rebuild of my tri power set up for my 69 L-68 and preparing for installation. I purchased the car with a 4 bbl carb set up so I don't really have any initial settings to start with. Pitfall avoidance would be greatly appreciated. --Swamper

There is no great secret. The center carb is the one that works all the time unless you punch the throttle. The two secondaries will kick in by vacuum so make sure you have fresh rubber inside the vacuum bodies. Set your float levels so the fuel is even with the bottom of the sight plug hole. Screw in your center mixture adjustments all the way....carefully not to go too far and then back out to 1.5 turns to start. If all is tight and correct, you just need to set your final mixture which should be within a turn of where you started. Make sure your mechanical linkage to the secondaries is free. The rods should slide so don't tighten the nylon washers too much. It's pretty easy....and you're going to LOVE it when it's done.
