A few months back, around 4/18/03, I wrote regarding the situation with my power antenna. I posted a question about replacing and rewiring the power antenna in my Vette. Well, here's the update. I found an OEM replacemant by calling my local Chevy Dealer who directed me to a another dealer that listed the "new" replacement. I installed it up to and including the relay. The new unit had an ignition switch, which the old one did not have. The wiring was similar but not exactly the same. I made an appointment with a local car audio shop. For a fee of one hour labor, the tech rewired all the final connections and now the radio, amplifier and power antenna work perfectly. He had to figure out which wires were the automatic switches which were power and where they all went. It was worth the wait and bucks to get it done properly.
Thanks to everyone who participated in helping me with suggestions or "welcomes". If any one else finds themselves in a similar situation and needs help, let me know, maybe I can provide some assitance.
Take care,
