Tip: if you have to replace your speedo seal more than once in a year (even THAT is too often), there is probably something causing premature wear.
I replaced mine last fall. Thursday I noticed some tranny fluid on the ground under the car. I was thinking tailshaft seal because I already replaced my speedo seal. As I crawled under the car I noticed the drip hanging from the cable. I didn't replace the gear last time as the dealer didn't have mine. I just bought a new seal and oring and ordered a new gear. It should be here on Tuesdaym and here's the best part-everything only cost $8.00! Hard to imagine parts that cheap could fix such a nasty leak!
