I am at odd with my mechanic with about my power booster(hydrobooster) vs. vacuum pump. :mad He is not fond of the Hydrobooster, and recommends a vacuum pump for serious braking(and among other things I guess). I think we are not on the same page :boxing I'm not sure about the vacuum pump can someone explains this to me.

Re: to suck or not Vacuum Pump (BSeery)
well, you already have Hydratech brakes so you know how well those work.
Vacuum pumps are handy if you need to run vacuum accessories such as air conditioner controls, headlights or the wiper door.
I don't see those on your car, and I think it's just a mater of preference.
Remember with vacuum assisted brakes though, you usually have a larger brake booster. With BB engines that may be a clearance problem.

I will have none of those on the vette.
The Hydratech is not installed yet. Just got yet it and the Mechanic wants to use a vacuum pump. The vacuum powerboster is in there a small one and there is a clearance problem. The Hydratech would take car of that but... :banghead:
Your mechanic just has not yet had any experience with our systems. Rest assured that after he installs the system, "he will have seen the light" (and a really close up view of the windshield)
