I would check the wiring to the wipers first. I know one wire is hot at all times when the ignition is on. If you need me to, I can go out and look at my 1980 and find out what wires are hot, when they are hot, and all that for you.
Second, check you caps lock key. TYPING LIKE THIS ON AN INTERNET BOARD IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING and is harder to read.

Any help you can give me would be appreciated since this is my first vette, don't go nuts, but if you come up with a starting plan and can identify the hot wire to look for, great. You should be able to read this.Certainly didn't mean to shout.
First thing to check is the fuse. The second thing to do is to make sure of the ground. Run a jumper wire from the case of the wiper motor to a good ground.
Mine were the same and still not fixed but I wanted to warn you. Mine needed a new cover plate since on it is a contact tab that was broken off and causing the whole thing not to work. I ordered a motor from Ecklers and they sent everything but the cover plate. I then tried to get the cover plate and 3 months later I still didn't have it. I sent the motor back and ordered a cover plate from a corvette junkyard for $30. I just wanted to warn you that EVERYONE seems to sell the cover separate ...if that is your problem.
Good luck

Now I am more confused about wipers.
I found a 3 wire connector in the front, with a 1 black wire connector under that and a 1 red wire connector more to the passenger side.
All I found out is the top wire of the 3 wire connector is hot anytime the switch is on. Other than that I never found another wire that went hot when the switch was on or went to ground when the switch was on.
Hopefully some one with more brains on this will chime in.
