Default One more cooling question

Well today was just too hot to enjoy a drive in the 73 so I took the radiator out.(Question).What radiator and cooling fans do I need to keep cool and what will fit in the 73? I'm pushing close to 500 HP,TH 400 auto and air conditioning,The new radiator will need to have cooling for the TH 400 or will I have to make other provisions?

I went with one of the aluminum rads with the larger cores. Mine are 2 1 1/4 inch cores. I went with the universal fit and was able to find a top rad hose that would fit but for the passengers lower rad hose I need a 2 piece with a elbow in it. The universal rads are alot cheaper and other then the lower rad hose angle I believe are the same as a special vet rad. For a transmission cooler go with a seperate cooler. I had one with a 10 inch electric fan and mounted it just inside the cooling ven on the passengers side.
I also like the electric fans and no shroud for future work on the suspension. Sure make life easy to remove the A arms.

I've been fighting the problem for awhile. I went with the big BeCool aluminum with auto tranny from Summit racing. They are @ $570. I also have the Stewart Stage II water pump. Yesterday i installed the BeCool 2500 cfm twin 12 inch. IMO 2500 CFM is marginal during 95+ degree weather.

I also use a Stanton High flow 190 thermostat with some holes drilled to always have a small amount of flow.

I was running a constant 205 degrees. I'm considering eliminating the auto tranny to radiator lines and just running the tranny separate to it's largest B&M cooler.

I create lots of heat with my 3500 stall and 11.2 compression ratio. this motor i just put in might be around 580 hp

I have a combo of 75% distilled water, 25% antifreeze ,a bottle of water wetter, a bottle of anti aluminum corrosion.

Red73 runs a type of non-water fluid. Which is about $130 to fill your system.
