painless wiring install tips?
I just got another car for a daily driver and decided the corvette is now race only. I'm not putting in the new carpet I have, no radio, a a/c, no nothing. Just an aluminum dash, racing seats, gauges, a start button, and headlight switch. I already have a painless wiring kit but have never worked on car electricals. Any tips before I start puttin it in this weekend? Car has a rollbar, 5-point harnesses, fuel cell, racing suspension, and a 800hp motor is in the works.

I've installed 2 Painless kits. My only suggestions are to Solder every connection you can, I hate crimp on connectors. Use Heat Shrink wrap to minimize the possibility of shorting out. For areas that may get very hot, Summit carries a tube style wrap that protects to 500 F. Just food for thought, if you have something that you may be removing constantly, give a thought to using Weatherpack connectors to make removal easier. I use the MSD crimpers for this.
