Default C3 question

I'm currently restoring a 68 Big Block 427/390 coupe. I found another 68 coupe for sale yesterday that the guy adverstised as a 427 coupe that is loaded with options (PS, PB, AC, PW). The Car has a L-88 hood with the correct breather attachement. I ran the numbers on the engine and found the motor is not correct. The car has a 73, 454 that came out of a vette. How can I tell if this car was an orginal L-88? Did they make any L-88 with these options? I think the possibility is that someone just added the hood within the last thirty years.

I highly doubt it is an original. You would not have been able to order an L88 with AC or a radio. Also, the PW would be very doubtful since these cars were targeted for racers only. If it has shielded wires, it indicates that it had a radio. The hood is most likely an aftermarket one added when the engine was swapped (like mine in my sig pic). It would have had the M22 muncie (if a 4 speed) and the big J56 brakes as standard equipment. Also, it would not have a fan shroud since it was not meant to drive on the street.
