1977 Vettes
I was wondering if anyone out there could direct me to info on 77 vettes. I'm a complete newbie to them, so info on like engine, suspension, and drivetrain would be grat. It's for my friend who just bought one (white '77 automatic), and is not a big fan of computers. Also the engine isn't running so well, and is due for a rebuild, but he doesn't want to leave it w/out an engine so, what would be a good engine to swap in there in the meantime? Also how difficult would it be to change it from a auto to a manual? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if they're still doing it, but you used to be able to get a nice "Specifications" booklet specific to your year Corvette from GM for FREE. Just call 800-222-1030 and give them your VIN.
