light switch bezel for a 78
does anyone know how to replace a tired looking light swtich bezel on a 78 ? -
I've just bought a new bezel & ****, but I can't for the life of me see how I can take the old **** off so I get then get the bezel switched with the new one & brute force doesn't seem to be the answer.....

I haven't taken off my Vette **** yet, but on my '86 Camaro, you pull the **** out, the remove screws to bezel, and using a screwdriver, you push up on a pin under the switch and pull the **** at the same time. Maybe it's the same style...

yep... there is i tiny button on the undrside of the switch body, if you push it in you will be able to pull the **** out... then you can unscrew the retaining nut and remove the bezel.
...... i tried the brute force meathod too.... i can't believe i didn't break the switch!! luckily someone told me about the tiny button before it was too late. :D

cheers guys - there's no way I would have found that before I'd have broken something !!
I'll do that tonight when I get home & let you know how I got on - I presume you have to go at it from underneath the steering column ?
