The only year C4's that had 16's were 1984-1986 (I think) then they went to 17's.
I am running some 17" "Sawblades" from a 1996 using Vette Brakes adapters.
See signature for pictures.
actually, the corvette had 16" wheels through '88 with the 17" becoming available as standard in '88 and the 16" becoming a very uncommon option.
i don't have any pics of the 16" on a c-3 but i think that the VBP catalog still uses a pic of those wheels on a c-3 in their catalog as part of their advertisement. you might look there.
the most common sizes for the 17" will actually lower the car overall since the tire diameter is ~1" smaller than the diameter of the 225/70-15 or 255/60-15.
if your considering buying 16" to improve your handling i strongly encourage you to look at 17's. the market for 16" high performance tires in the appropriate width is dwindling. remember, when they came out the vette was just about the only car that had a 16" tire, and for a long time, the only car with that width. 17's are so much more common though, it's far easier to find appropriate tires.
I just saw a C3 Tuesday night at a show with 16" C4 wheels on it. Didn't look too great IMO. Would've taken pics if I would've read this on Monday. :yesnod:
