If your not to worried about the sheet:
Ask yourself - Do I feel lucky?
Then crawl under car and reach up on top of gas tank and feel around for it - should be on driver's side. I peeled mine off with no problems and without removing tank. Again, not recommended if you have a BB or something really special.
I got my tank sticker off, with a real Bubba move.
I went through the gas filler neck with a metal spatula and scraped it off. Then, I pulled the pieces up and out with a set of tongs. I actually got all of what was left of the sticker!
The main obsticle for getting the sticker out without lowering the tank is the driver side muffler. If you remove the muffler then it's wide open and easy to reach up over the top of the tank and get the paper down. I have side pipes so it made it easy for me...I did score a tank paper, and it was nearly readable. I scanned it at high res into my computer and zoomed in to find all the details. The worst area of the paper will be where the glue was placed. The glue kinda soaks into the paper and makes it brittle so be very careful when pulling it out.
