As a result of a couple of requests we are willing to start another group purchase for Steeroids. Just like the last time we will need a minimum of 10 people participating in order to get the discount. All told, the discount amounts to $173. The price for Steeroids will be $985 with a flat shipping and handling fee of $33. The total will be $1018. We'll wait until we have 10 people signed up before we begin taking orders.
So who's in? I think we already have two that are interested so we only need another 8. If you have questions regarding the system check out the web site http://www.speeddirect.com/Products/...e__63-_82.html or just ask here or via e-mail salescf@speeddirect.com
The purchase will probably happen during the second week in July to the third week. So from 7 July to 25 July. Does that sound good to everyone?
EDIT: the GP is now running. You can order anytime between 9 July and 30 July. You can order by calling 888 425-2776 order online at http://www.speeddirect.com/Products/...e__63-_82.html just identify yourself as a forum member and give your forum name. If you order online you will be refunded the discount amount of $173 but the order must first go through as a full price order (I apologize for this but our web site isn't quite as flexible as we would like).
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (Speed Direct)
I was one of the first to order the kit when it first came out, I think it's one of the best bolt-on mods for C3 corvette. When I'll start my new project you will be the first ones I will contact :yesnod: :steering:
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (groovyjay)
Thanks groovyjay for such a kind endorsment. I'm glad that you are satisfied with our kit and I'm proud to have our system on such a fine example of workmanship. Your car is simply stunning. When you get some good pics of it completed we would be interested in using them on our web site (if you don't mind).

Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (72GACRZR)
This is only my list for the car.
What time frame are you looking at? I am on deployment till November so there is no real need for me to buy it before then. Can I get a deferred purchase for a service member????
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (SteveG75)
having purchased Steeroids with the last group purchase i can say that by far it is the best improvement that i have done to my car...
i say that if you are buying a C-3...go ahead and figure in the cost of it right from the giddy up...
in my opinion, it is a necessity...
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (SuprJames)
evilsmf, feel free to call us 888 425-2776 or e-mail at salescf@speeddirect.com or post your questions here. Others may have the same question so it could be answered here. Whatever way makes you comfortable, go ahead and ask us.
SteveG75, I think we can accommodate a squid (did I say that?:p: ), I mean, yes we can certainly give you that price when you return from deployment. Just send me an e-mail so I can document that fact. Shall I add you to the list?
SIGNGUY, thanks for the kind words.
Indy, nice looking Vette! That is beautiful. I'll add you to the list.
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (Brettmc)
Brettmc, It will fit a big block car and is compatible with your stock power steering pump. A few headers have some interference issues so let me know what manufactuer and p/n you have (if you have headers). We try to keep a comprehensive list of what fits and what doesn't. Most brands fit but a few have issues.
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (Speed Direct)
I do have headers but have no idea who the manufacturer is. Previous owner installed them. What are the chances that the manufacturer and part no. are stamped on them? If so, where would I look?
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (Brettmc)
The p/n may be stamped on the flange that bolts to the head. If you can send a digital picture of the driver's side header/steering box area I may be able to make a determination. As it is these are the headers that we have information on: Stahl 2 1/8" requires slight dimpling (groovyjay helped us with this one), Hedman 2" needs a small dimple and Hooker side pipes fit with no modifications.
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (Speed Direct)
How's the steeroids different from just power steering?
I have the manual right now, and was about to install a power
steering into my '68.
With the steeroids, you said I needed a power steering pump and brackets. Will remanufactured pumps be okay with your steeroids
and will I need a power steering pulley?
Also I do have headers and will have to check with that issue.
Re: Steeroids rack and pinion group purchase (hairinmotion)
Just working the $$$ issue. I'll send an email in a day or so letting you know whether I am in or not. Thanks for supporting us guys out here.
Currently running a '75 with a small block, stock PS and Dynomax headers. May add the Hydroboost system at the same time as well as redo the suspension.
