Shift problems 700R4 Trans.
Help me people..... Just recently purchased an 82 Vette. Starting in drive the transmission wont up shift under normal acceleration . I have to leave of the gas pedal then it shifts. This happens in all up shifts (1st. 2nd, 3rd & o.d.) Is this normal????? I dont think so....

I hope all it is, is the downshift cable shroud...outer shell....is too 'long' for the length of the inner controll cable....
IF you have a stock type setup, just go to the throttle body itself directly and open it all the way against the stop..or carb...and that 'should' pull the cable into the proper adjustment....if not, you may not have that detent/notch type setup....
