I don't understand why aluminum heads and blocks are so expensive. The material may be a little more expensive than cast iron, but the machining is cheaper. The companies just know they can rape us so they do.
It's also a "tall deck" block.... which means most of the aftermarket stuff (the stuff we love) will not fit. IMOP.... not worth messing with. Besides being expensive, it has limited use.
