Depends on how bad they are. Fine (400 - 600) sandpaper, and a 4" buffing wheel on an angle grinder with red rouge (eastwoods). Then mothers alum polish. Joe

I just finished doing mine last week. I removed the tire and rim from car ( tire still on rim ) and used some 000 steel wool. I did the whole thing by hand and then I used Mothers polishin' pad. The rims came out great and when I started they were a mess and looked lousy. Good luck. :hurray:

My way on my original 1980 wheels was $50. $50 for each wheel and I had them professionaly polished to a chrome finish.

BSeery, had clear-coat polished off, 3-step cleaning treatment, and triple chrome-plated for $135 each. Best $$$ I've spent on the '82, altho it STILL won't out-run DesertDawg's car :nonod:
