I wouldn't worry about what the results are, a dyno should be use to a) get a baseline before any work/mods/tuning is done, then do another pull to see your results and then fine tune the entire package from carb to tailpipe.

Re: Toronto/area Dyno day..update (75Rag)
75 Stingray!> I have a 78 L48. Last year it pulled a amazing 119 (which was not that impressive, but concidering I only had the car on the road for 2 days, I was impressed).
And ya GDH is right. I ran my car last year to find exactly that out. I had just gotten it certified, and I had no idea what it could do. So now I know where the bottom of the barrel is (Unless my tuning ability ain't that good :))
No mater what you end up pulling, it is quite a trip to see your car go that fast and not actually move.

I don't want to be rude, but if I could start very early for my Dyno or get in line before noon and then skip, I could stay in for the Dyno. I realy would like to find out my RWHP. I finally was able to book an airplane for 2 hrs of flying on Sat. Aug 23 at 3:00 PM in Brampton that I don't want to miss.
I am up from Brampton A/P at about 3:00PM, might be able to find you if still pulling. Will program the GPS. Toronto airspace is a B-zone and gotta stay outside the inverted "wedding cake". Look for white-red SuperCub: C-FKDD.

Re: Toronto/area Dyno day..update (PyjamaSam)
I don't know. I would be willing to fight for that title... I scored the lowest last year... The big (or should I say small) 119. Beat that.
This year should be interesting. The raining champ 1bad69 with his 350hp, and with Motorhead biting at his heals with 285... But Motorhead has just done lots and lots of work to his engine... Hmmm... I wonder how close it will be. Only time will tell.
No matter what happens it will be a blast. I will probably be there all day.
Chuck, I think we can defiantly swing pizza... If you make it heck we will even spring for the Gourmet pizza.... hahahah
chris.
Ah yes the 'ol small block - big block shootout, kinda brings tears to my eyes.
I am installing a new CenterForce clutch this weekend, hmmmm makes me wonder if it wasn't slipping last year too :lolg:
I just found out today that I have to change my vacation from next week to the one after (fired someone for disciplinary reasons, have to interview and hire replacement asap). So I am going to be out for the 23rd as this is the 2nd time I postponed the vacation and it wouldn't be fair to Nadia to rush back to I can measure my pee-pee on a dyno. :nonod:
whats the pay? like... and i think you have had plenty of pulls on your pee-pee already so missing one pull won't hurt...too bad though...wow, this is post 1969... :D
Wait a minute, Flavio didn't get to do a pull last time, had a flat. As for pulling the other thing, he has a kid so I guess he didn't pull them all :lolg:
You guys should bring last year's results and compare with this year's. The person with the biggest % increase pro rated to $ spent should be the winner and get his/her dyno for free. Chris you listening out there, maybe it shouldn't be about a claim to the biggest peepee but the most intelligent use of $ to achieve a % result increase. We have all heard the saying, hp costs money, how much do you want. Come on guys get creative here, if a stock bb can't blow a stock sb (C3) then there is something wrong, but by say porting/ polishing/cam/gearing/rejetting etc produces a significant % increase in both tq and hp then we have something here. But then what the 'ell do I know about these things anyway.
