Powersteering Pump
In the process of changing manuel steering in car to power steering. Every thing going great until mounting the pump. It's to long and won't fit with pully on pump. Anyone know how long the front of pump should be or maybe have a GM part number. I'm in the dark since I don't have the correct pump to look at for reference. :banghead:

I think yours takes a different one than mine. But I had a problem with the previous owner either putting the wrong pump and pulley or just the wrong pulley on mine. My car calls for a single groove pulley, I had a double groove on there. Also, the correct pulley was a good 2" in diameter smaller. I had big issues with that double pulley coming in too close proximity to the crossmember.
I got a new pump from Autozone (with reservoir) and my pulley from Zip.
