Front Clip installation on 68 vette
Just removed the front clip on my car, it came out complete, thank God!
The lower windshield pillar post corners were all rusted below the fenders, so, after 15 minutes of thinking my friend and I decided to remove the front clip. :banghead: There was no other way to cut and weld with the fenders there...
I'm looking for the new fender support parts. From the assembly manual I came our with this numbers and names. Somehow they don't match the market names. Can anyone help me with the commercial names?

Thought about it, Craig, but since one side was allready semi loose (on the drivers side they had pop riveted the fender to the hinge support with a piece of bent sheet metal) I thought I didn't want to oversee any past "repairs" and went on with the complete removal
I've read a lot of stories about the famous Bubba mechanic... every time I read one, I think of most of the Mechanics I've met here in the DR... I would say, that sounds so common... Anyway, I'll be finishing the 68 Vette restoration homepage in the next days... For sure I'll include a special page with a picture documentation on all Local DR's BUBBA Repairs found on the car during the disassembly... (the best part ever was the electrical system....)
By the way, I found last night on the Ecklers catalog the parts I need. This time I had a catalog with all pages included and no missing pages like the one I looked at before writing the post (spring 2001 issue...). Thanks again Guys.
