Listening to my stereo while driving my vette today I noticed a high pitched buzzing in the dash speakers. It changed pitch with rpm changes, and was present with radio and CD. I remember reading somewhere it could be due to ignition shielding or something. I did a search but could come up with nothing. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem. (BTW, all the stereo components are new)
Re: Buzzing coming from the dash speakers. (bigvette1)
I installed an Alpine 9815, Infiniti 4x6's, and 6x9's, and a JL300x4 amp. This is the first time I drive my car and try out the stereo. When I bought it the stock radio did not work.

You could try installing an ignition choke on the dash unit(deck) first. Then, if that doesn't work, put one on your amp.
This has been a problem in the automotive audio industry forever. You are getting electrical noise from the alternator or the ignition system, but it is fairly inexpensive and easy to fix.
