Active duty Air Force. Just went over 18 years. Getting ready to go on "vacation" for 4 months on Wed. Have enjoyed the time.....HATE leaving my family. I could do without that. I want to retire at 20, but the wife wants me to stay as long as I can. We'll see. :flag

U.S. Naval Flight Officer over 13 years active duty this summer. Had the Vette for over 10 years now.
And no complaining from the Air Force guys about those tough 120 day deployments. :D Just kidding.
I do love the Navy so. We left home mid-January for what was to be a 3 week work up det and won't get home till November. That is 9 1/2 months away. My squadron has spent 17 of the last 24 months deployed.
Worst part about this deployment is we are not in the Gulf so ZERO tax-free and ZERO hostile fire pay.
I get to miss the whole summer cruise season and the Vette is just sitting. :mad
