Transmission tunnel Insulation
I'm curious who has installed the transmission insulation in the tunnel and were you able to do it without pulling the tranny? Did you install the full or partial? And thanks.

I installed it on my 71', but the engine/trans was out. Looks impossible to install with trans still in. Might be able to do it by cutting it in half down the center.

Was going to install one in my 73 over the 4th. Notice I said was. Upon 'further review' I don't believe it is possible in one piece. See my post and the responses in the FCR section. If I can find a lift for rent I'll try installing it in two pieces.

I just replaced my tunnel insulation when I had my tranny out of the car. The insulation is stiff and pre-formed. I don't see how you could do it without removing the tranny.
