82 Vette Key Codes.
Hey folks, guess what? My damned toddler nephew is in that "**** you off every minute" stage. He lost my keys. I wouldn't mind except for the fact that my Corvette's keys were the ones he lost. I called a locksmith and was told to find the key codes for it, and have a locksmith punch up a new set from that. Anyone know where I can find these codes?

If you got the orginal invoice their on it. The codes were in the neck of the orginal keys. Last resort call the National Corvette Museum and order a build sheet they can tell you before you order but I think there on it. Also if you know the orginal dealier he may still have them on paper work. Last result is to replace the locks. Sorry :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:

I believe on an 82 that any GM dealer can call GM and get your key codes. You will have to take your VIN number to any dealer and they can call it in. Most dealers will require some type of proof that you are the owner of the car before they will cut replacemant keys.
