hey guys. seems like just a couple short months ago everyone here was complaining about winter and snow, blah, blah, blah. i know i and some of my SW cohorts giggled and chuckled over 'snow' and how we have 'year-round' driving weather. well, payback is a bitch.
it is 10:45 here in vegas and my digital thermometer reads 101.7. yup, one hundred one degrees and change. i really don't know why i live here. i think my brain has fried from the heat.
heard a report on the news earlier tonight someone walking down the sidewalk tripped and fell--recieved 3rd degree burns from the sidewalk. sad thing is, i don't doubt it.
so all you guys we made fun of, sorry, snow must be nice.
Back in late 95 I think it was I spent a month working out in Paradise Valley, AZ. My second day there it was 126 and got down to 112 at night, I thought I was going to die! Dry heat my butt, more like living on the sun.
It's been hot here in Floriduh too, with really high humidity too   :jester
Supposed to top 100 over the weekend, like 104, 105, 106. I have the valley for its 30-winter-110-summer weather. I hate to have so many different types of clothes! :) I can't wait to go back to SoCal and just be warm all the time.
Definitely really strange weather across the U.S.(not sure about Canada). We went through a drought of over a month of not even one drop of rain with everything dying and water rationing. Now it's rained two straight weeks and I'm just waiting on my homeowners association to send me a nasty letter for having knee-high grass. I'll swear I saw something with horns going through there yesterday.
My wife, 11year old, and I just got back from two weeks in her home province of Newfoundland, Canada -- mid 70's (best we could do the math) there back to high 90's here in my home state of Texas, USA......
jim, no. going to willow springs in a couple weeks though. trialers are good.
so the weather guys are forecasting a record streak of temperatures above 110*. we've already had three days with over 110* and they're forcasting at least five more days before it may possibly come down to a cool 108 or 109. it was already 96* by 9a.m. this morning. we had to turn the solar heater off on the pool last week because it got up to 97*. it's just not even fun swimming in water that warm. hell, the water temperature at lake mead is 85*. just crazy.
