speed and tack bezel ?
What color blk is the bezel which goes around the speed/tack suppose to be. flat blk, semi blk or gloss blk. I have my dash apart and was looking at the pcs , so I thought mine as well freshen them up. thanks. :cool:

I've used Mar-Hyde's satin black on the restoration of all black dash pieces and I'm pleased with the results. The coverage and self leveling of the paint has made it easy to apply. :cool:
The final finish has a 'semi flat' appearance which is close to the original.
Get youself a fiber glass pen that's made for cleaning out paint chip cavities. I use this to get into corners and hard to reach areas of the trim pieces and bezels to 'roughen' up the existing finish to help primer/paint adhesion. On the open areas, I use the gray scotch brite pads to accomplish this. Wipe with alcohol or paint prep and prime/paint away.
On the 'crome beading' that boarders some pieces, just paint over it and use razor blades to carefully 'carve' away the paint before it's totally dry. This will give you crisp results, and sure beats trying to tape all that detail up.
While you're in there.................clean and polish your plastic lens' protecting the gauges!
