So uh, about my non-working cigarette lighter, the other day I plugged in a charger for my bro's cell phone, and it didn't work. But if you push down the actually lighter, it WILL work, so does this mean it works? or what? Could it work with the lighter, and not with the charger?

The black book says the '82 weighed 3342 lbs.

If the weight is curb weight, that includes a full tank of gas, coolant, etc.
So 3500 is a real good estimate to start with.

Sounds to me that that there maybe some rust in there not allowing a good connection, but also you must make sure the device can touch the termianl at the bottom of the lighter socket. Hope that helps :steering:

Hmm, I'll have to wait till my g-tech gets here to test it. The phone charger is my bro's and he's gone, so I don't have anything to test a connection with. Oh, well I'll wait :thumbs:
