YO guys!!!
I finally got my windshield replaced on my 81. The way the moulding fit always drove me crazy ever since I got the car several years ago. The top trim piece has a noticable bow above the driver side where it meets the side pillar trim piece. The guy that replaced the windshield was a good tec and I watched closely as he did his work. He told me that the glass was replaced before and that it was a **** poor job. He said that the mouldind was bent by the guy that did the prior replacement and that there should be no tweeking required on the installers part to get a flush fit. He played with it for a while but to no avail...it still looks like crap! Do any of you guys know where I can get relpacement moulding? Somebody out there must made it... thanks!
I have noticed this on my '80 as well. I will be watching this thread with interest to see who says what about a fix. It bums me out to look at it. Just one more little thing to get worked on!
Wow...I thought I was the only one with this problem! I saw a 77 last night parked at the mall. This car was a rollong piece of junk but his windshield moulding sat flush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
