I purchased a true TRW brand spring about 15 years ago, the exhaust shop trashed it while trying to install an X pipe under the rear end this morning. Does TRW still produce a spring? I can't find one. I'm reading a lot of bad thing about off brands, any recommendations?

Re: True TRW composite spring? (Enkil)
I think Muskegon Brake and Vette Brakes also sells them.
I got a good spring from Zips (5% off if ordered from the forum), but I am sure it came from VBP or someone like that.
I think that the glass springs being mfg now are the 'TRW style' spring. I don't think TRW actually mfg's these anymore. (haven't seen otherwise)
I purchased a 'TRW style' unit for mine, and I'm impressed with the quality of mfg. Heat is one of the worst enemies of the glass spring, so with proper spacing and heat shields, you should be fine with one of these units.
Yes i do have them for $250 and free shipping. Comes w/ spring bolt kit, 4 center bolts and plate and a heat shield.
Thanks Enkil:thumbs:
VBP have there own springs made for them. They are different than the TRW springs. TRW springs are slim in the center and get fatter at the ends. VBP springs stay the same wideth all the way.
