What's with all the automatics on the CnV site? I know that the 4-speed started getting harder to find, but I thought that this took until well into the '70's.

I just bought my '69 vert a week ago for 13.5K and I was offered 20K for it last night! It's a BB, 4-spd car... orange w/ blk inter. I don't plan to sell anytime soon! :)

C3's on this side of the Atlantic seem to be going up in price (even with a rubbish economy), but I'm sure glad that I'm not trying to sell a C4 :(

I don't understand why folks get excited and happy when Corvette prices go up.
It just makes the hobby more expensive. I hope that the bottom drops out so I can buy another.

I am waiting for the C2 to come down, but I think I am SOL.
BTW I think he was just f'n with us since we are always throwing jabs at C5ers.

There'a a 75 in the local paper (clarion-ledger) w/36k miles for $12k. Ad doesn't state eng, tranny or color.

It all depends on where you look. You can find some real deals. There is 68 that is non matching that runs and says it's solid for $7500 that is in ohio. Also there is a 75 that runs but needs restored for $3000. I paid $3500 for my 74 vette. It had around 50k miles but didn't run and needed to be restored. I have spent about $6000 to $7000 on restoring it and then another $1500 on aftermarket engine parts.

Re: Is Just Me “ The C3 prices Seem to be collapsing” (vette_c5c6)
I think I've seen some fairly decent steel bumper C3s going on eBay for awfully low (less than $10k) but then I see the rest of the cars in the market and they seem to be going up in price.
There's an ad in the local paper ""72 Corvette, great condition, needs engine work. $8000 o.b.o." I haven't gotten around to calling the guy. I'm interested to see this car and exactly what "great condition" and "needs engine work" actually mean. I could use another '72 in the garage!
