WOOHOO! Headlights fixed!
I've posted a few times on the subject of the headlights on my 1978 Corvette; specifically, the fact that they would not pop up when I first bought the car.
Well, after replacing the seals on the actuators and adjusting the doors, I found that the headlights would only come up when I pulled the override switch.
When I posted on this problem, a forum member by the name of clutchdust offered to send me a spare headlight switch that he had in a box of parts he got with his car. Well, that switch arrived today, and after a little time and wrestling, I replaced the switch.
The results? Not only do the headlights pop up the proper way from the headlight switch, but the buzzer for the headlight warning now works AND it even fixed the problem I had with the interior lights NEVER coming on.
Now I've not only got working headlights, I've got working interior lights! (They still won't light from the door opening, though.....oh well! :rolleyes: I'm still glad they work at all, now! ) :hurray:
I'd like to give a big :thumbs: to clutchdust for his help with the switch, and I would like to thank all of the people, again, who have helped me fix this problem! :flag
