Speedo cable question
On a 1978 L-82 pace car they have two different lower speedo cables, from the transducer, one is 49 inches and one is 53 inches, does anyone know why the difference? Thanks...LT I dont think they have crusie control with manual transmission. Both sizes of the lower cables go from the lower point of the transducer to the tranny, we just dont know why there are two diffwerent sizes.

Re: Speedo cable question (ltinnell)
Well since no one else has answered I will take a wild guess. I assume that this is the cable that goes to the tranny? If so then maybe it has to do with different trannys. A manual might be 4 inches closer or further than an auto. Like I said... just a guess.

The top cable goes to the speedo and the lower cable goes to the tranny, that is with cruise control; which has to be an automatic..........thanks ,.....LT
