Did you call Ecklers before you sent it back? Many companies that recieve packages and don't know why will just refuse them. My mom has a habbit of just deciding that she doesn't like something she ordered and just ships it back, then later wonders why she hasn't been credited her money back.
My wife bought some glasses on Ebay, had them insured. One arrive broken and the post office gave her a check for the full amount of the purchase. Since it was damaged freight, they had to pick it up and investigate it. But she did get the to keep the rest of the ones that weren't broken.
I'd report it to the post office as missing. They can do a trace on it and find out what happened to it. If they lost it they'll pay you for it if it was insured.
If you insured the package, it can be tracked. The PO or online USPS.com will allow you to find out where the package is. I have had great experience with the US mail in this case and in getting my money back if items are not delivered in time (express mail).
Personally, I don't consider this off topic. We're all gettin' a little too anxious about posting stuff here, IMHO. I want to hear about shipping problems with vendors. Helps me make decisions about where I spent my vette money.
