I did it for about a week here in Indiana while I was working on my vacuum system. Cops never said anything. I don't know for a fact that it isnt illegal though.

Is there an advantage to driving without a hood. i.e. cooler running motor. Not that I'm going to do it, jsut wondering.
Less air restriction and yes it runs cooler, but I didn't do it for any other reason that every aftermarket L88 hood I ordered didn't fit worth crap, so I kept sending them back. Finally got a GM L88 hood that was an over the counter deal in the 70's and it fit perfectly.

I have to have my hood fixed before I put it back on. I need to take it to get inspected and have an alignment.
