Default Taking Plunge!!!!

I'm about to buy my first Corvette, but having trouble with decision -
it is between 1995 6-sp. @ $16,000 or 1992 ZR1 @$25,000 my kids are
bugging me to buy the ZR1 saying it's a collector car - both drive awesome!!
My point to my kids is what good is buying a car that is a collector car if it
is something that I will be driving everyday and not really "saving" as a collector car - I would appreciate some input. Thanks

SORRY I'M IN THE WRONG FORUM BUT THANKS FOR ALL THE OPINIONS!!!

Welcome to the CF.

Given how you intend to use it and the big difference in price go for the 95.

You are probably plunging into the wrong forum. Put it in C4 or Off Topic and you will get a ton of opinions. :)

Welcome :seeya

I would try posting in the C4 forum (since 95 and 92 fall in that catagory)

If you will drive this car often, DON'T buy the ZR1. It is indeed a collector and should be preserved somewhat.
Besides, you can almost by 2 91-96's for the price of one ZR1. And it doesn't stop there, EVERYTHING will be more expensive for the ZR1.

:iagree: The ZR1 parts are becoming more scarce and they are expensive. You can take the 95-96 cars and for a lot less make them have more power than the ZR1. The ZR1 is nice but a lot of $$$ and for a driver I would stick with the 95-96 cars.

We have all been getting on the freeway or driving next to a Porche or for some reason or another we need the FUN power. I would go with the ZR1 You only live once! Both great cars
