[1973] automatic shifter "pointer"; where to buy????
can't seen to locate one. Dr. Rebuild doesn't have them, nor does Corvette Central. Both sell the pointer (indicators) for years 1977 thru 1982 but not the years earlier for the C3.
What's so unique about this piece that no one seems to have them for sale?

I think the basic reason you don't see them for sale is.... there is none.

Correct, no pointer. Just a layout of the shift pattern.

just to be certain I understand... there was a pointer when new, but no-one has ever decided to make a re-pro of it?

Nope, never a pointer. Just a lighted shift pattern, but no pointer.

My 79 doesn't have a pointer
BUT, the 78 pacecar on my showroom floor does.
Did they start including them in 78 or something? It's not like anything on my vette is origional. :conehead

Tom....
Saved me a ton of tear down time to fix one of those - whenyou get to it problems. No pointer, no wonder I don't have on the 73. Thanks.
