Thanks guys  I expected this car had issues and they were only elavated after I spoke to the guy on the phone. I have my eye on another 70 LT-1 which appears to be much more promising.

:iagree: :iagree: if it really is a 70ac and it's so rare then they would have taken special care of the build sheet to prove it. As far as the vent and such coments my question is the engine a number matching?? It could be an air car with the LT1 added later. Sounds like someone trying to pull a fast one. Since he's not asking 6 figures and can't prove it my guess is it's BS. If I was a crook I'd go the LS6 route instead of the LT1/AC. Since every book says there are no known LS6's built

Uhh, I'm pretty sure a 70 LT-1 did not come with cruise control, power seats, or ABS either as per the vehicle options on the ebay car........sounds like it does come with plenty of :bs though!

As far as this being an original car-Not a chance!!!
Green interior was not compatible with a yellow exterior.
I doubt that hood paint and stripe came from the factory
Wheels are aftermarket
Speedo with white letters? 70 guages were green.
Where CD's invented in 1970?
AC compressors were painted Black

This is truly a rare car. I guess originality is in the eyes of the beholder.

Oh it's original  I knew the color was off and other items could be wrong but was curious if I could have found the rare factory optioned 70 but I knew after 2 minutes of talking to the guy that the car was a mutt. He has the original rims but I'm not even going to drive the 30 minutes to look at this one. Just wanted to make sure that the info I had in terms of no AC on the the LT-1 until 72 was in fact true. It sounds like it is........ Good thing I have another 70 LT-1 in my back pocket that as soon as I can find and honest NCRS type to look at it I'm hoping I can strike a deal and add it to the collection :D then I will be off looking for a C-1 and that winning lottery ticket
