I have a bunch more pictures I will post later. To lazy now because we just ripped the bed off it. lol 100ºF+ and we are out there w/ impact, wrench's and a hammer. lol
It's pretty much cosmetic work. The motor runs damn good, but it doesn't have brakes. lol We drove it 60 miles, no brakes or brake lights. I think we had her to 50 going down hill at one point! Only got stopped once. lol And that was because we were already pulled over cause it was running around 240ºF. lol
LOL. When we are done we are prolly gonna sell it. And if it won't sell for what we want, we are either gonna sell the axle's (2 1/2 ton rockwells) to our local monster truck place, or turn my bro's 67' F-250 Highboy into a 6x6. :)
I have no idea.....the farthest back anyone knows is 1999, when the guy we bought it from got it. His friend said that if he could get it off his land he could have it, so he put a electronic fuel pump on it and it fired right up. They used it to pull car's out of sand dunes in Eastern CA. I have a few friends in the military, so we are gonna try to track the history through the military.
We already know what the first thing we are gonna do with it.....but I can't mention it cause *cough* its not *cough* exactly *cough* legal *cough* cough* *cough*

With what little metal holds up the bed, I don't think it would hold over a ton. We are guessing it was a water/fuel tanker at one point in time, and someone just slapped together a bed w/ angle iron. Thinking about replace it today.
