this is sort of off topic, however some vette owners may have done this as well. I'm trying to find info on who does or how to put a mid 90ies engine and tranny into a 69 camero. its far from factory so it really would not hurt the value to do this. and i think it would be more of a fun project than anything.
Basics would be motor/tranny mounts. Once you get the motor/tranny physically bolted into the car you are 1/2 way there. Then you'll need fuel - fuel injection needs much more fuel pressure - most late models have pumps in the gas tanks - you can get some pumps to frame mount. You'll need to be sure you have a big enough fuel line and a return line. Next up is the wiring/computer -- everything should come from donar car (or after market)- the more wire the better. You'll want a modern motor friendly cooling system. Exhaust - depending on computer you'll need an oxygen sensor. Hooking up throttle linkage and gauges and then......
I'm sure I missed a few things hopefully other will fill in the blanks.
The engine will bolt up, as it uses the stock SBC mounts. I'm 99% sure of this.
The trans will need some custom work, both in the car and with driveshaft and mounts.
Also you will need to do something about accessories, wiring, find a place for the computer, a way to hook up a tach and speedometer. (The 4L60E transmission has electric speedo, I do believe.)
