Didn't know until after we purchased this automatic 1973 that the flywheel and converter are exposed. I ordered an "instection cover" from Dr. Rebuild, but it is a flat metal piece that can't possibly cover over this area.

Looks like you got the manual tranny cover. The auto trany cover is bowl shaped, sort of. By using the term bellhousing you indicated a manual tranny. You want a torque converter cover. Joe
