Default Door shields (clear Plastic) replacement 76 vette

Does anyone know where to get the replacement clear plastic shields for the door panels on my 76 vette? I mean the plastic that is between the door and the door panel and is held on with some sort of adhesive to keep the water away from the door panel. Also what type of adhesives do I use to hold it in place, the originals are gone and there is only a white stripe that appears to be traces of the old adhesive.

Welcome to the forum Tom! :seeya
The 'shields' you are refering to were made of thick plastic sheets. Don't know if anyone sells these 'pre-cut'. You can make your own by purchasing some thick plastic sheeting in rolls. Sometimes known as "visqueen" (sp). Cut it so you remain within the edge of the inner door panel, as long as you cover all access holes and allow room for adhesive application.
The orig adhesive was a strip caulking/adhesive. You can also dup this by using 3M's strip caulking (in black). When applying, o/lap the ends and keep it at least 1/2" inside the sheet. Clean the inner panel surface with solvent first for max adhesion. This will produce the water intrusion 'shield' that was orig installed. And inexpensive and professional solution.
