On a lot of trannys the shifter arms have two holes and locating the rod to the upper hole shortens the throw. Mine only had one hole so I drilled another and now have a shorter throw.

Check out Mid America for a set out of the C4 section that sell for $19.99. The early C4 use a version ot the super T-10. I have the kit installed in my 79 and it fit and works great.Sorry but I don't have a catalog for the part number...
